GazpromThe Antitrust Commission in Ukraine imposed sanctions to Gazprom, due to abuse of dominant position on the gas transit market, at amount of the sanction is 3.4 billion USD. Antitrust authorities in Ukraine have been investigating the case since April 2015, following the signal of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk. Many times the Commission admitted that Gazprom had dominant position on the gas transit market during the period 2011-2015 year, but the exact value of sanctions was not assessed. However, the decision was taken after Gazprom representative did not appeared on hearing in the case at the appointed date.

Despite of the big sanctions, the Ukrainian experts do not believe that the sanction against Gazprom will be implemented, as there is no legal mechanism for collecting the fine. According to many experts the decision only detract from the fact that Naftogaz Ukraine actually has a dominant position in the market and it reserves.
